Amal Trust

In association with the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre (Al- Manaar) the Amal Trust launched the first initiative program during the month of Ramadan for children. The program consisted of daily activities and was held during half term at Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre in central London.

Prior to the initiative there generally was a lack of programs and activities about the month of Ramadan aimed to engage young children and youth in mosques and Islamic centers . The initiative aimed to meet with the needs of the children who come to the mosques during the Holy month of Ramadan providing an educational alternative for those who are not joining in the Taraweeh prayers.

The program covered a range of educational, Social Cultural ,drama and Art History Workshops, Calligraphy, and the Importance of Charity and welfare . The Program was a huge success and attracted over 50 children a day. Workshops were great educational fun for all the children and many talents were discovered.
